Childcare

Childcare is the caring for and supervision of a child or children, usually from newborn to age thirteen. Childcare is also known as Family childcare and is typically provided by Au pairs, Mother's helps and Nannies, but roles may vary. Depending on the number of children in the home, the children utilizing in-home care enjoy the greatest amount of interaction with their caregiver, forming a close bond. There are no required licensing or background checks for in-home care, making parental vigilance essential in choosing an appropriate caregiver.

Many Nannies study towards childcare qualifications. This means they are trained to create a safe and stimulating environment for your child to enjoy and thrive in. Typically, Au pairs or Nannies provide more than routine childcare, often assisting with daily household activities, including running errands, shopping, doing laundry, fixing meals, and cleaning the house.

There are many advantages to resorting to childcare services, both for your child and yourself:
  • Dedicated care for your child - Particularly desirable in the infant years which shape our future lives, babies and children receive love and attention at all times.
  • Children are attended to in the comfort of their own home - This safe environment helps their development and offers you peace of mind when you are away.
  • Healthy emotional and social development for your child - Having a person near them that they can build a relationship and bond with ensure that your little ones will know the value of human interaction from an early age.
  • Convenient for parents - You are always aware of what your child is doing and can trust to leave him with a reliable person that you know.
  • A more flexible schedule for parents - If you need to leave early in the morning and may run late in the afternoon, it is comforting to know that the childcarer is attending to your child's needs.
